Baseball And Softball Little League

WE NEED YOUR HELP

Our Little League program is ran entirely by volunteers that love the game of baseball and softball. In order to have a successful baseball/softball season we need your help.  Below you will see the list of positions that it takes to manage a team during the season.  Please consider volunteering for a role below to make this upcoming season successful.

In addition to the positions below, we need more help at the Riverside Little League Planning Committee. We meet once a month to discuss ideas and needs for the league. The more involvement we have, the more we can do and the stronger our Little League program will be. The future of this league depends on new volunteers learning what it takes to organize a season and run this league. Please join us at our next meeting and see what it takes to run Riverside Little League. We try to meet at 6:30pm on the second Monday of the month at American Family Restaurant but check the event calendar and Facebook to confirm the date.

Riverside Little League would like thank those that are willing to go above and beyond to help out. Volunteers that actively participate in roles below, or join the planning committees will be eligible for reimbursement or reduction of league fees upon approval of the committees.

Why do we volunteer?

Morgan, Former PR/Information Officer, Scorekeeper

Business Director and CFO of a local business, mom of one, total newbie to baseball and LOVING Riverside LL

Joining the board in 2020 is one of the best things I've done in a long time. Getting together with a great group of parents to give our kids an experience they'll never forget takes some behind the scenes work. It's awesome because of everyone that sits at that table; we are all driven with a love for the game. Also, the Tee Ball kids at the Hit A Thon will fill my cup of joy for at LEAST a month, I look forward to it every year.

When I took on the Scorekeeper role for my son's team, I was new to baseball, and had NO idea what I was doing. But a quick video on YouTube, and BAM I learned a ton and was able to provide valuable details for my son's coach to see just how great the kids were doing every game. It's a fast paced fun way to learn about the sport and contribute while sitting in your favorite camp chair enjoying the game.

Heidi, Equipment Manager

Insurance and Billings Specialist of a Dental Support Organization

Joining the board in 2021, I have a bunch of boys who are active. I volunteer not only to be involved with my kids but also to support and improve Riverside LL.

Louie, Softball Division Volunteer

Real Estate Broker/Firm Owner

I started volunteering as a coach for my daughter's softball team, well, because no one else was doing it. I kept doing it and became more involved in the behind the scenes work and attending board meetings because I wanted to ensure my girls and other girls had the best opportunity possible to learn and play the game. I have stuck with it for many years now because of the success we have had building a softball program and the great friendships I have made with other parents doing something we and our kids all love.
